Lending Club offers investors access to high interest rate investments previously only available to banks. Since June 2007, Lending Club investors have earned an average net annualized return of over 9%.

I’m currently averaging a net annual return of over 13% with Lending Club. Your personal results as an investor will vary, but you can precisely tailor your returns based on your risk tolerance.

Investing Money with Lending Club is Easy

To invest money with Lending Club, there are essentially four steps.

  • Open an account online
Opening an account online just takes a few minutes.

  • Deposit funds (at least $1000)
You can deposit funds into your new account via ACH (electronic transfer), wire, check or PayPal.

  • Select notes for investment
Most people choose to spread their investment over tens or hundreds of investments. I currently have funded 73 loans through the platform. The minimum you can invest in each loan is $25.

There are two ways to invest money at Lending Club. You can either select each loan specifically using filters, or use the LendingMatch system to create an instant portfolio of Notes based on your desired interest rate and corresponding risk profile.

  • Receive monthly payments

Each month, as borrowers make payments, Lending Club will deposit the interest and principal repayments in your account, minus Lending Club’s 1% fee.

You can transfer funds back to your bank account or reinvest them in new loans. Cash balances at Lending Club are FDIC insured.

What are the Risks Involved in Investing With Lending Club?

Lending Club Notes are offered pursuant to a Prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Investing in Lending Club Notes involves risks, including the risk borrowers will not repay their loans and the risk of Lending Club discontinuing the servicing of the loans. The risks of investing mean that investors may lose all or most of their investment. Before purchasing any of our Notes, you should carefully read the Prospectus.

What Interest Rates Can I Earn Through Lending Club?
